Protection Orders and Occupation Orders under the Domestic Violence Act are available at any Family Court or Parish Court. Applications are free and same-day temporary (ex parte) orders can be granted in emergencies, with a full hearing shortly afterwards. No lawyer is required though representation is helpful in contested cases.
