The Jamaica Information Service (JIS) is the government's official news service. JIS produces 'Get the Facts' guides covering pensions, NHT, NHF, taxes, court forms, and other government services, making complex public processes more accessible to ordinary Jamaicans. Jamaican-listed commercial entities are subject to oversight by the relevant regulator — the Bank of Jamaica for deposit-taking institutions, the Financial Services Commission for insurers, investment managers, and pensions, and the Office of Utilities Regulation for utilities.
