The main public hospital for St Thomas parish at the eastern end of Jamaica, in Lyssons just outside Morant Bay. Part of the South East Regional Health Authority, it provides a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, and maternity for a largely rural parish cut off from Kingston by the Yallahs and Morant rivers. Serious cases are typically referred west to UHWI or Kingston Public. For emergencies dial 119.
