One of Kingston's most iconic community organisations, Boys' Town serves at-risk boys and young men from Trench Town and surrounding inner-city communities. Founded in 1940 by the Reverend Hugh Sherlock, the centre at 6 Collie Smith Drive provides sports programmes (the famous Boys' Town football academy produced generations of national players), vocational training, mentorship, and educational support. An institution in Jamaican football and social work and a major positive force in Trench Town.
