Caribbean Wellness Project

Public Health Campaign

Rating: 4.4 / 5

A PAHO-supported regional wellness campaign promoting mental health, physical activity, and nutrition across the Caribbean. In Jamaica it supports Caribbean Wellness Day, public-education material, and community events. A policy-level rather than direct-service resource. Most Jamaican mental-health services charge fees at the private-practice end and are free at the public end; sliding-scale options and NHF-subsidised medication for chronic mental illness can substantially lower out-of-pocket costs for clients who qualify.
