Community Mental Health Crisis Team (CMHCT)

Mobile Crisis · Island-Wide

Rating: 4.3 / 5

The Community Mental Health Crisis Teams are mobile response units attached to public health centres in each parish. They travel to a person in acute mental-health crisis to safely de-escalate, assess, and where necessary transport to hospital for inpatient admission. A critical bridge between the home, the police, and the formal psychiatric system — and for many families the only safe way to get a loved one into treatment without police involvement. Access via your nearest health centre or via the 1-888-NEW-LIFE helpline.
