Jamaica's only zoo, set within the grounds of Hope Botanical Gardens on Old Hope Road in Kingston. Hope Zoo cares for more than a thousand animals, including roughly 400 birds and 75 mammals across big cats, primates, reptiles, and native species. The zoo is home to the Jamaican Iguana headstart breeding programme, a conservation initiative that has helped bring one of the world's rarest lizards back from the edge of extinction in the Hellshire Hills. Open daily, with a cafe, playground, and picnic areas making it a core Kingston family day out.
