Errol Flynn Marina

Marina · Port Antonio

Rating: 4.6 / 5

The Errol Flynn Marina in Port Antonio, Portland, is Jamaica's only full-service deepwater marina, set in the calm West Harbour inside a ring of forested hills. The marina hosts a small permanent fleet of charter boats and draws visiting sport-fishing yachts from across the Caribbean and the US East Coast for the Port Antonio International Marlin Tournament, held each October — one of the Caribbean's longest-running billfish events. Day charters for marlin, wahoo and mahi-mahi are easy to arrange via the marina office.

About fishing in Jamaica

Jamaica's deep waters hold blue marlin, wahoo, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and tuna. The Port Antonio Marlin Tournament every October is one of the longest-running deep-sea events in the Caribbean. Charter boats run daily out of Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and Port Antonio. The Black River Safari in St. Elizabeth is the place for crocodile spotting and inland fishing. The fish markets at Old Harbour and Whitehouse sell the daily catch.
