Glistening Waters Marina

Marina · Falmouth

Rating: 4.5 / 5

Glistening Waters Marina sits on the bank of the Luminous Lagoon just east of Falmouth in Trelawny, and is the operations base for the evening bioluminescent lagoon tours as well as a hub for local charter fishing. A handful of sportfishing boats work out of the marina, targeting the deep water off the Trelawny coast for marlin, wahoo and mahi-mahi. An on-site restaurant and bar make it an easy place to combine a daytime trip with the famous after-dark glow-in-the-water boat ride.

About fishing in Jamaica

Jamaica's deep waters hold blue marlin, wahoo, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and tuna. The Port Antonio Marlin Tournament every October is one of the longest-running deep-sea events in the Caribbean. Charter boats run daily out of Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and Port Antonio. The Black River Safari in St. Elizabeth is the place for crocodile spotting and inland fishing. The fish markets at Old Harbour and Whitehouse sell the daily catch.
