Rating: 4.6 / 5

No Problem Sportfishing is a long-established Montego Bay charter working out of the Montego Bay Yacht Club at Bogue Lagoon, the traditional base for the north-coast sportfishing fleet. The operation runs half-day and full-day offshore trips into the deep water that drops away sharply not far from the Mobay coast, targeting blue and white marlin, wahoo, yellowfin tuna and mahi-mahi. Rods, tackle, bait, ice and drinks are supplied on board. The boat is typically booked for private groups of up to six, with morning departures the most productive.

About fishing in Jamaica

Jamaica's deep waters hold blue marlin, wahoo, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and tuna. The Port Antonio Marlin Tournament every October is one of the longest-running deep-sea events in the Caribbean. Charter boats run daily out of Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, and Port Antonio. The Black River Safari in St. Elizabeth is the place for crocodile spotting and inland fishing. The fish markets at Old Harbour and Whitehouse sell the daily catch.
