Ivan's at Catcha Falling Star

Cliff Dining · Negril

Rating: 4.6 / 5

Ivan's is the clifftop restaurant at Catcha Falling Star, a small Negril West End hotel whose name references Ian Fleming's nearby GoldenEye estate. The open-air deck is cut into the limestone at the very edge of the cliff, and the menu leans Caribbean: jerk lobster, blackened mahi-mahi, curried goat, and a Negril sunset that rivals the better-known spectacle at Rick's a few minutes up the road. Breakfast, lunch and dinner; reservations advised for sunset seating. 876-957-0390.

About restaurants in Jamaica

Jamaican food is one of the most influential cuisines in the world — jerk, ackee and saltfish, curry goat, oxtail, escovitch, ital, festivals, and bammy. Scotchies in Montego Bay set the global standard for jerk; Boston Bay in Portland is where it was invented. Devon House in Kingston serves the world's best ice cream alongside legendary Norma's. Treasure Beach has Jakes and Jack Sprat. From cliff-edge Rockhouse in Negril to Houseboat Grill in Mobay, Jamaica's dining scene blends roadside perfection with world-class fine dining.
