Bob Marley Museum

Music History · Kingston

Rating: 4.7 / 5

The Bob Marley Museum occupies Marley's former home and recording base at 56 Hope Road in Kingston, where he lived from 1975 until his death in 1981. The house doubled as the headquarters of Tuff Gong and was the site of the 1976 assassination attempt on his life — the bullet holes in the walls of the rear courtyard and kitchen are preserved as part of the tour. Guided visits take in his bedroom, kitchen, office and a theatre of archival footage. Open Monday–Saturday 9:30am–5pm; tickets should ideally be booked ahead on busy cruise days.
