Mayfield Falls is a gentle river-hike through the rainforest at Glenbrook in Westmoreland, about 90 minutes inland from Negril. Guides walk visitors upstream through 21 small waterfalls and 21 natural pools, pointing out medicinal plants along the way and picking spots for swims, climbs and duck-under tunnels. It is far less commercialised than Dunn's River — no big car park, no cruise-ship bus fleet — and genuinely feels like a rainforest excursion. Two separate operators run tours on either side of the river; stick with signposted, established companies to avoid confusion.
