Negril's catamaran sunset cruises are a Seven Mile Beach ritual. Multiple operators — Wild Thing, Cool Runnings, Reggae Catamaran among them — run large sailing catamarans out from the resort strip in the late afternoon, rigged for drinks and music, typically with a snorkel stop over the reef and a return along the West End cliffs to catch the sun setting over the sea at Rick's Cafe level. Trips usually run three hours with open bar and a Caribbean buffet. The sunset here, over open water with no land in the way, is the reason Negril exists.
