Rose Hall Great House

Haunted Mansion · Mobay

Rating: 4.4 / 5

Rose Hall Great House is a restored Georgian plantation mansion east of Montego Bay, built in the 1770s and made famous by Herbert G. de Lisser's 1929 novel 'The White Witch of Rose Hall', which cast the mistress Annie Palmer as a murderess and obeah practitioner. Today the house is owned by Rose Hall Developments and run as a museum, with daytime heritage tours and a 'haunted' evening tour playing up the ghost legend by candlelight. The gardens, cellar pub and sea views make it one of Mobay's most popular half-day trips.
