Boys & Girls Athletics Champs

School Athletics · March · Kingston

Rating: 4.9 / 5

Held every March at the National Stadium in Kingston, the Inter-Secondary Schools Boys and Girls Athletics Championships (universally known as Champs) is the world's most-watched school-level track meet. Over five days roughly 30,000 spectators pack the stadium to watch Jamaica's high schools compete — the same competition that has produced Olympic stars including Usain Bolt, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson-Herah. The atmosphere is part football-match, part national holiday.
