Jamaica Carnival

Carnival · April · Kingston

Rating: 4.6 / 5

Jamaica Carnival is a six-week soca-driven fete season that builds through the Lenten period and climaxes on Easter weekend with Road March through Kingston. Bacchanal Jamaica, Xodus and other carnival bands host the major fetes, all-inclusive parties and breakfast events, and the Road March sees masqueraders parade through the city in costume behind music trucks. The event has grown steadily since the modern carnival format was established in the 1990s and is now one of Kingston's biggest annual parties.
