The Curry Festival is an annual food festival in Kingston celebrating Jamaica's Indo-Caribbean culinary heritage, brought to the island by East Indian indentured labourers who arrived from the mid-19th century onwards. The event features curry goat, curry chicken, roti, vindaloo, bun-and-cheese and the full range of Jamaican curry traditions, with dishes supplied by Kingston restaurants, pop-up cooks and home kitchens. A window on an often-underrated strand of Jamaican food culture.
