The Bureau of Gender Affairs is Jamaica's national gender machinery, housed at 5–9 South Odeon Avenue, Kingston 10, under the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport. It develops and coordinates the National Policy for Gender Equality, leads the government's response to gender-based violence, and partners with UN Women, the Caribbean Development Bank, and NGO networks such as WROC and Woman Inc. The Bureau runs public-education campaigns (including the 'Break the Silence' and 16 Days of Activism campaigns) and supports training for police, court officials, and service providers.
