Eve for Life

HIV+ Women & Girls

Rating: 4.6 / 5

Founded in 2008, Eve for Life supports Jamaican women and girls living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, and the gender-based violence that drives the epidemic. The organisation runs peer-mentor programmes pairing HIV-positive adult women with newly diagnosed girls (the 'Mentor Moms' model), provides psychosocial support, funeral assistance, and livelihood grants, and advocates for survivors of sexual violence. Works in partnership with the National Family Planning Board, PAHO, and UN Women Caribbean. A vital front-line organisation for Jamaican women whose lives have been shaped by HIV.
