CISOCA — Sexual Offences & Child Abuse Unit

Police Unit · Island-Wide

Rating: 4.4 / 5

The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse is the Jamaica Constabulary Force's specialist unit investigating sexual assault, rape, incest, and child abuse. CISOCA officers — many of them women — are trained in trauma-informed interviewing, and victims can ask for a female officer. Reports can be made at any police station, which will then route the case to the nearest CISOCA office. Island-wide contact: 876-754-7373. Filing with CISOCA is confidential; investigators work closely with Woman Inc, the Victim Services Division, and the Office of the Children's Advocate on referrals and wrap-around support.
