Cuso International is a Canadian development NGO with a long-standing Jamaica programme. Projects include women's economic empowerment, climate adaptation for women farmers, gender-based-violence prevention, and volunteer placements with local women's organisations including WROC and Eve for Life. Jamaica's women's resources include the Bureau of Gender Affairs, Woman Inc., the Jamaica Women's Political Caucus, and a network of crisis shelters and helplines. Women's health clinics operate in every parish. Female entrepreneur networks and support groups meet regularly in Kingston, Mobay, and Mandeville. Domestic violence support is available 24/7 through Woman Inc. and the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).
