Jamaica Diabetes Association

Diabetes Support

Rating: 4.4 / 5

The Jamaica Diabetes Association runs education, peer support groups, and community-screening programmes for Jamaicans living with or at risk of diabetes. Type 2 diabetes disproportionately affects Jamaican women — particularly after middle age — and the Association's programmes emphasise diet, activity, medication adherence, and the emotional load of chronic illness. Branches in the main parishes and a long-standing partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Heart Foundation of Jamaica on shared awareness campaigns.
